Mountain Motor Company is located on a sublet property of the ranch at Cross Bar X Ranch. You can find us by driving into the main property and immediately after the gas well there will be a small office. We are not your typical car lot, but we have found that by keeping our overhead low, we can offer more affordable used vehicles. Our cars go through a mechanical inspection and are cleaned and detailed before being offered for sale.

Tim and Marci Miller are the operators of Mountain Motor Company. In 2006, the Millers moved to Durango to serve as the Program Directors at Cross Bar X Youth Ranch. Cross Bar X is a non-profit youth ranch for at-risk kids. In 2014, Tim took over as the Executive Director. Cross Bar X has always existed to provide their program for as little of a cost as possible. In an attempt to continue with this mission in an increasingly difficult economic world, Tim and Marci opened The Mountain Motor Company to generate income alongside the operation of Cross Bar X.

Additionally, we donate a significant portion of our proceeds to our non-profit Motors For Good. Motors For Good exists to provide support to families and youth in the 4 Corners area through scholarships, financial assistance and donated/discounted vehicles to those in need.
